Privacy Policy

We store the files you upload, their file names and basic metadata (size, dimensions, duration), and view and download counts.

We strip EXIF and location data from images, and metadata from videos, before publishing them.

We store IP addresses only as salted hashes, except where the law requires us to preserve them as evidence for a report to authorities.

Guest uploads and sign-ins are tied to a random token stored in a cookie in your browser.

File pages show ads to visitors without Premium. They're served by Google, which may use cookies and similar technology to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent first. You can turn off personalised ads at https://adssettings.google.com, and read how Google uses data at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

There are no ads or advertising trackers anywhere else on UpVid: not on the upload page, My files, your account or checkout.

You can delete your files at any time from My files.
