Frequently asked questions
Is UpVid free?+
Yes. Upload images up to 20 MB and videos up to 2 GB for free. Premium removes ads and raises the limits.
Do I need an account?+
No. Upload straight away and your files are tied to this browser. Create a free account (just a username and password) to keep them across devices.
How long are files kept?+
For good. Files are never deleted for being old or unviewed. They stay up until you delete them, unless they break the Content Policy.
Which file types can I upload?+
Images in JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, HEIC and AVIF, and videos in MP4, WebM and MOV.
Is my location shared?+
No. Location, camera and other metadata is removed from photos and videos before they go live.
Can I share several files with one link?+
Yes. Put them in an album: right after uploading, or later from My files. The album gets its own link.
What can't I upload?+
Anything illegal or that you don't have the right to share. See the Content Policy for details.
